I have been interested in computing and technology since I was 6 years old, my first home computer system was the ZX Spectrum +2, and ever since I got it I couldn't stop coding, it has always been a bit part of my life.

at age 16 I was fortunate enough to gain a place at college and develop my skills using programming languages such as Pascal, Cobalt and C++, the world wide web was really just starting as I was learning, so it was a great and exciting time to be part of it all.

After my excellent 2 year at collage, I done some gain a position at a small software company and worked away on website development, learned HTML, Flash, and Perl script and java. I built some pretty cool website during that time, some even floating around the internet today.

then in my early 20's I decided to go back into learning, achieving my HND in information and technology, I landed a course in University, but after a few weeks I didn't feel I was developing enought at a rate I wanted, and was pretty confident that I had learned most of what I would be educated in, I could have easily past the course and got the paperwork to prove my academics, but it simply wasn't what I wanted to do at the time, and being a realist it wasn't paying the bill either.

I decided to go self employed, not an easy task at first, but after a few months I had my business plan accepted and was ready to launch a web service company, not that different to what eBay is today, but sadly other family commitments got in the way.

I spent years in the wilderness, but when I could I would still try and keep up with what was happening in the computer scene, and still always had my PC upgraded time to time.

So long story short, I am back, the internet is such a different place, there is so many new programming languages, attitudes and innovations but also some drawbacks, things are definitely more complex, but it's also a less free environment to work in, everything seems to cost money, and the security although needed is a big setback to development.

Its going to take me a while to adapt, but I have gotten the hang of basic app building now, and am going to be learning as much as possible, I am glad to be back, and hope I can contribute in my own way to this new web.
